What is ESTILOOK?

Estilook is an innovating social community for people who has your own style and enjoys interacting, exchanging ideas, giving opinions, meeting other styles and being updated with trends and news.

Is ESTILOOK free?

Yes, it is completely free. To take advantage of all areas and sections of the site, we recommend only that you register.

Once registered, what can I do in ESTILOOK?

If you are a member, you can do many things and have a lot of fun in the site:

• Upload your photos to share with the community your personal style and taste;
• See what friends and members in general think about your pictures and looks through the vote and comments;
• Vote and give your opinion about other members styles and looks;
• Create contests and know the opinion of your friends and other users about your style’s doubts and other questions;
• Find out and divulgate news and events about the style and fashion world;
• Give suggestions and get informed about clothing, accessories and looks trends; find out what is being considered "in" and "out" by people with their own style defined;
• Have fun reviving the looks from your childhood, youth or even the time of your parents and grandparents;
• Making new friends and meeting people with tastes and behavior similar to yours.

How do I report an unknown error in the site?

ESTILOOK´S SECTIONS

 

What is My Style?

My Style is your personal page which contains all of your photos, looks preferences, friends, advisors and contents.

In this section you can also edit your profile. See more in “How do I do to edit my profile?

What is about the IN&OUT section?

The "IN & OUT" section is divided into two parts. The section IN, also called “Cool Finds”, is the space where people can divulgate clothes, shoes, accessories and any garment that they find interesting in terms of beauty, quality and price. In this section you can either seek specific clothing but also include your own findings.

The section OUT or "I don´t wear this!" is the place where members can share their style showing what they never would dress. Here you can get to know your friends and the community’s taste in general and to capture some tips of clothes that do not match or looks that are outdated. And, of course, you also have the chance to show the community what you consider completely "out" to wear!

And the FUN PAST section, how does it work?

"FUN PAST" was made for you to recover the nostalgia and revive the good moments of fashion and style from other decades. It’s made for you not only share your childhood and youth looks with your friends, but also take a look at your mothers, fathers and grandparents looks. It is also the perfect place to see how fashion is cyclical and is always going forth and back in time.

 

What is the BROWSE section for?

This section has been created so you can find any kind of look and people. You can search for a look, accessory or specific person using the tags (labels), which will target your search.
It is the perfect tool to find the exactly look that you were searching for, or even find people with taste and style similar to yours.

How can I create or participate in a Contest?

Both creating and joining a contest is very simple. Click on "Competition" section in the main menu at Home and choose the type of contest you want to create. Then complete the requested data, upload photos or videos and that is it, your contest it’s already created! And to participate is just choose from the contests list what interest you most and click on "VOTE."

What´s up with News & Events?

In the "News" Section you will be informed about everything that is happening in the world of fashion and style. Fresh news published by the own users! And in "Events," you will also have the opportunity to find out about various events that are happening around the world, related to style, fashion and behavior.

FRIENDS, ADVISORS & USERS

How can I find friends in Estilook or invite friends outside the community to become a member?

In the Find / Invite friends section, which is located in the upper right corner of the site once you are logged, it is possible to know if your friends are already registered or not in the community. You can either invite the contacts who are not registered to become members or add those who are already registered to be part of your network.

So, it’s just follow the steps of the section, find your friends, invite them, and have fun!

How do I invite a member to be an advisor?

In all the user’s profile page there is an option called “Add as an advisor”. By clicking on it, the member will receive a notification with your ask. Once the person accepts the invitation, she will automatically become your advisor.

 

How do I block a user?

To block a user you have to go to the member’s profile and click in the option called “Block User”. By clicking on it, the member will be automatically blocked and won’t be able to interact with you in the community (he will not write comments and scraps to you, neither be your friend or advisor)

 

LOOKS & PHOTOS

How do I upload my photos?

Just o to your personal page (My Style), then "My Closet", and click in "Add a new look." Follow the steps, fill in the fields, choose a picture that is already on your computer or online, and click in "Finish".

How many photos/looks can I upload ?

As many as you wish. The more pictures you upload, the more you will be able to interact with people!

 

What are the criteria of the picture’s classification?

Whole Look: These are pictures of whole body, like the "toes to the head" ones.

Details: When a picture is focusing in only a part of the look, for example, a t-shirt, a shoe, a skirt and so on.

Accessories: Pictures of accessories in general such as handbags, necklaces, jewels, brooches, sunglasses etc.

Hair & Make-up: Hair done, haircuts and makeup in general.

Special occasions: photos in specific situations such as weddings and fancy parties, fantasy parties, ski and beach holidays etc.

 

How do I edit an information a picture after submitting it?

All of your photos, except for your Favorites (because they are pictures that were uploaded by other people), has a button called Edit. By clicking on it, you will go straight to the edit page. Then, just make the necessary changes and click in "Save."

 

How can I remove a look?

It is the same case as the edition. All your photos, except for the section "My Favorites" (because there are only pictures that were uploaded by other people) has a button called "Delete". Simply click on it that your picture will be automatically erased.

My look received a red flag. Why?

This means that you had uploaded a photo that is not in accordance with our "Terms of Service". Then, a member of the community detected and made a reclaim by clicking in the red flag. In this case, please replace this picture for another. ESTILOOK will be thankful for thatJ!

 

Is the look vote secret? Do the people can see my vote?

You can vote in a look whenever you want and nobody will have access to it. By voting, the results will appear to you automatically, but nobody, not even the photo owner, will know who voted. The only way to make public your opinion is writing a comment. And remember, in case of criticism, just the constructive ones J !

 

What should I do if someone leaves an inappropriate comment in my look?

ESTILOOK is a democratic community where people can fell free to give their opinion about styles, photos and looks. Our role is to guide members that, by criticizing, try to do constructive comments. Unfortunately there are people who do not follow the rules and end up by surpassing the limits, running out of our control. In this case, we suggest that you delete the comments that you consider offensive and block the person who, in your opinion, do not contribute to the harmony of the community.

Can I share my photos with people who aren't ESTILOOK´s members?

Of course! Below all of your photos there is a button called “Send to friends”.  By clicking on it, a box will show up so you can write your friends email and personalize your message. Then, your friend will be notify by mail and will receive a link that goes straight to your photo. Important: He will be able to see the photo, but only by registering he can vote.

 

MY ACCOUNT

How do I do to edit my profile?

Go to your personal page (My Style) and click in option "Edit my profile." There you can edit all your preferences related to privacy, personal information, profiles and alerts.

I forgot my password. What now?

If you forgot your password, click in the upper right corner of Estilook´s home-page, right next to the login area. By clicking on that, you will automatically receive an e-mail with your current password after filling up your username.

How do I change my password?

Go to your personal page (My Style) and click in option "Edit my profile." Then choose  “My Account” and go to “Change password” option.

 

TAGS

What are tags?

Tags are like keywords or labels that you add to a photo to classified and identify it. These tags can also make easier a person find your photo or exactly what she was looking for.

Is there a limit of tags that can be added to a photo?

No, but don´t forget to use comma to separate the tags.
